Radisson Airport Hotel at the Miami International Trade Mart


The client was the Trade Mart owners--the funding agent was MetLife--the landscape budget, including
irrigation, water features, lighting and furniture was $1,256,000.00 for both the hotel and adjacent Miami
Trade Mart. Charles Giller Architect, Kent McCoy Landscape Architect, Sinclair Inc. Landscape Contractor.
The project won numerous awards including feature articles in the AIA journal and Landscape Architecture
 USA.

Site plan for the Radisson project and the upgraded Miami International Trademart. Both structures
function as one complex with a large part of the hotel's guest there on Mart business. The Miami
International Airport is adjacent to the site with the Dolphin Expressway between them. NW 172nd St.
is to your far left and is the main site access.

Award winning caprock wild hammock spring generates over 10,000 gpm

Lifestyle Forida design award for this 170'-2 level florida select caprock
waterfall. concept was a recreation of a natural florida spring with water
swelling up from below ground and cascading down over and thru
native caprock in an intense tropical setting. a central 4" discharge pipe
surges over 10,000 gpm out of 6 outlets at the bottom of 8 upper pools.
pool is a reinforced 6" shotcrete shell covered over with caprock and
planting.

uplights are positioned under the waterfall--creating a stunning night atmosphere
